Why this card matters
The last Alvarez base card issued before he became UFC lightweight champion. Cardboard Connection dates 2016 Topps UFC Knockout to 30 March 2016, three months before he stopped Rafael dos Anjos for the belt, so #20 shows him as a contender rather than a champion. The base set is only 100 cards and the product is a hit-driven, eight-per-box release, which makes the plain base card comparatively hard to find loose.
