Why this card matters
Alvarez's first UFC-licensed autograph, serial numbered to 225 and issued in the same December 2014 product that gave him his first Topps base card. Cardboard Connection describes the Bloodlines Fighter Autographs as a 37-card insert in which new signers carry a 'First Issue' designation — Alvarez was a first-year Topps signer, so this is the signature collectors treat as his Topps debut autograph. Cardboard Connection lists Platinum 1/1 as a product-level Fighter Autographs parallel; no Alvarez-specific Platinum row was seen. Whether Alvarez's card carries the 'First Issue' stamp is likewise inferred from his being a new Topps signer, not confirmed on a scan.
