Josh Hokit

Hokit is the hardest fighter in the UFC to buy a card of, because no licensed Josh Hokit trading card has been documented — not one, in any sport, from any manufacturer. He is 10-0, ranked fourth at heavyweight, and has beaten Curtis Blaydes and Derrick Lewis inside ten months, yet every Topps UFC checklist from 2024 Topps Chrome through 2026 Topps Stadium Club passes over him, the Topps Now programme has never issued a card of one of his finishes, and Panini's PFL and Bellator Ink sets missed him too. Everything sold online as a "Josh Hokit rookie" is an unlicensed art collectible, so for now the collecting story is the gap itself.

Card history

Josh Hokit has no card history, and that is the entry. Twenty licensed checklists covering his entire athletic life have been read against his name — every Topps UFC pack product from 2024 Topps Chrome through 2026 Topps Stadium Club, both Panini Contenders PFL sets including the Bellator Ink autograph subset that reaches back to the promotion he debuted in, and the Topps Now programmes for 2025 and 2026 — and his surname appears on none of them. A product search across the main card-price index returns nothing under his name in any sport. For a top-five heavyweight with a perfect record, that is close to unique.

The absence starts long before the UFC. He was a walk-on at Fresno State who played fullback and running back while wrestling well enough to become the program's first All-American there since 2003, then signed with the San Francisco 49ers undrafted and spent two years on the practice squad before a five-day stop in Arizona. Neither sport produced a card: college athletes of his profile were not being issued licensed cards in his years, undrafted practice-squad fullbacks are routinely left out of licensed football sets, and searches under his name in that era return roster pages, statistics and news coverage rather than any card listing.

The MMA years kept missing the calendar by inches. Bellator 300 in October 2023 and Bellator Champions Series 4 in September 2024 both fell inside the window Panini's PFL line later reached back into, but its 20-card Bellator Ink autograph subset went to Emelianenko, Shamrock, Ortiz, Sonnen and others rather than to him. Three first-round LFA finishes and a Contender Series contract in 2025 came from promotions with no card licensee at all. Then the UFC debut arrived at exactly the wrong moment: he stopped Max Gimenis in 56 seconds on 8 November 2025 for a Performance of the Night bonus, one day after 2025 Topps Finest was released and two weeks after 2025 Topps Knockout. A debut finish of that kind is the standard trigger for a print-to-order Topps Now card, and none was issued.

What makes 2026 strange is that the timing excuse ran out. He beat Denzel Freeman at UFC 324 in January, took a Fight of the Night decision from Curtis Blaydes at UFC 327 in April while setting the heavyweight record for significant strikes landed in a three-round bout, and knocked out Derrick Lewis in the second round at UFC Freedom 250 in June — and 2026 Topps Chrome (May), Midnight (May), Chrome Sapphire (June), Knockout (June) and Stadium Club (August) were all issued around him. Chrome alone carried Radiating Rookies, Future Stars Autographs and UFC Debut Patch Autographs inserts without finding room for the division's newest contender. The 30-card Freedom 250 commemorative set, built around the event he won on, runs from McGregor to Liddell with no Hokit card in it; the single Topps Now card from that night, #24, is an event card that names no fighter. The result is that the first collectors looking for him find the unlicensed "Immortal Moments" autographs instead, and read the "RC" in the listing titles as a rookie card. Whenever Topps finally lists him, that card — not any of these — will be the earliest licensed Josh Hokit card there is.

2016–2019
Two sports at Fresno State, no cardboard from either

Hokit walked on at Fresno State and played fullback, running back and tight end while wrestling for the Bulldogs, finishing his career with 1,260 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns and becoming the program's first wrestling All-American since Mario Botelho in 2003. College athletes of his profile were not being issued licensed cards in those years, and no Fresno State football or NCAA wrestling card of him has been documented.

2020–2022
Undrafted, practice squad, still nothing printed

He signed with the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent in 2020 and spent two seasons on the practice squad, was waived in August 2022, and lasted five days with the Arizona Cardinals. Licensed football products are built around drafted players and active roster names, and no NFL-era card of him has been documented — searches under his name return roster and statistics pages, never a card.

2023–2025
Bellator, LFA and the Contender Series — all outside the card calendar

His professional run opened with an arm-triangle finish of Spencer Smith at Bellator 300 in October 2023, continued through an armbar at Bellator Champions Series 4 and three first-round LFA finishes in early 2025, and ended with a second-round TKO of Guilherme Uriel on Dana White's Contender Series 78 that won him a UFC contract. Panini's PFL line does reach back to Bellator through its 20-card Bellator Ink autograph subset, but Hokit is not among the fighters it chose.

2025
A 56-second UFC debut that no card marked

He knocked out Max Gimenis 56 seconds into his UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 264 on 8 November 2025 and took a Performance of the Night bonus. Debut finishes of that kind are the classic trigger for a Topps Now card, but no Hokit entry appears in the 2025 Topps Now programme, and 2025 Topps Knockout (24 October) and 2025 Topps Finest (7 November) had already closed without him.

2026
Ranked fourth, and still not on a checklist

Wins over Denzel Freeman at UFC 324, a Fight of the Night decision over Curtis Blaydes at UFC 327 in which he set the heavyweight record for significant strikes landed in a three-round bout, and a second-round TKO of Derrick Lewis at UFC Freedom 250 took him to 10-0 and the UFC's #4 heavyweight ranking. 2026 Topps Chrome, Midnight, Chrome Sapphire, Knockout and Stadium Club were all issued in that window without him — Chrome even carried Radiating Rookies and UFC Debut Patch Autographs inserts — and the 30-card Freedom 250 set built around the event he won on has no Hokit card in it.

Unlicensed customs

What is being sold, and why none of it is in the card database.

The only card-shaped items carrying Josh Hokit's name and likeness are the "IMMORTAL MOMENTS" collectibles made by Spector Sports Art LLC, with artwork by Jordan Spector, and sold direct and through eBay. They are standard 2.5" x 3.5" cards on 24pt rainbow foil stock, shipped in a 4x6 holographic foil box inside a display case, and they carry genuine on-card Hokit signatures with a holographic certificate and a QR code that resolves to the maker's own authentication system. Several separate 2026 drops exist, each built around one moment and each with its own tiny print run and colour ladder: "Stars & Strikes" at 68 cards across five prism variations plus a one-of-one Golden Nebula Superfractor, and "Presidential" at 96 cards across Vintage /47, Crimson /26, Azul /14 and Phantom /8 with a Gold 1-of-1, alongside "Freedom Forged" and a "Darth Hok" crossover. Sellers list them with "RC" and "Rookie" in the title and with parallel-style colour and serial wording that reads like a Topps insert ladder, which is what makes them easy to mistake for a licensed issue. Spector's own product pages state plainly that the line "features original artwork inspired by publicly recognizable sports figures" and is "not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or licensed by any league, team, player association."

FightCardboard records licensed trading cards. These are signed art collectibles produced without a UFC or manufacturer licence, by the maker's own statement; they appear in no set checklist, price guide or population report, and their serial numbers and variant names are the maker's rather than a licensor's. Recording them as cards would put a rookie designation in the archive that no manufacturer ever granted, and would hide the fact that matters here — that Hokit has no licensed card at all. They are described so collectors can recognise them on sight, and nothing more. The autographs themselves appear to be genuine and signed on-card; the point is the licence, not the signature.
