Raul Rosas Jr. won the first UFC main event of his career, stopping No. 13-ranked Raoni Barcelos in the fifth round of a fight that had swung back and forth for four rounds. The ending was abrupt, and Barcelos was taken from the Octagon on a stretcher. In the co-main event, Ailin Perez took a unanimous decision over Norma Dumont for her seventh straight win, and The Ultimate Fighter 34 crowned two winners.

Main event recap: Rosas Jr. vs. Barcelos
The setup
Rosas came in ranked No. 12 at bantamweight on a five-fight winning streak. The UFC billed him as the youngest athlete ever to headline one of its events; he is 21 and turns 22 on October 8. Barcelos, 39, was ranked No. 13 and had won five straight himself, beating Cristian Quiñonez, Montel Jackson, Ricky Simon, Cody Garbrandt and Payton Talbott. It was the first UFC main event for both men.
How the fight developed
The pace was high from the opening minute, and both men were marked up by the second round. Round-by-round coverage from Cageside Press describes Barcelos landing to the body and chasing takedowns while Rosas pressed with his hands and a jumping knee attempt.
The middle of the fight belonged increasingly to Barcelos. His takedowns started to land in the third, and in the fourth he took Rosas’s back and hunted a rear-naked choke that Rosas had to defend. Cageside Press noted that Rosas looked spent on his stool before the third. For a fighter whose case has always rested on control, spending long stretches of a main event on the defensive was new.
The finish
Barcelos opened the fifth with another takedown, and Rosas worked his way back on top. Soon after, Rosas brought Barcelos to the mat again near the fence, and Barcelos did not respond. Referee intervention came at 1:38 of the round. The UFC’s official result is a TKO win for Rosas, with the method recorded as “slam.”
Beyond that, we are not going to speculate about what happened to Barcelos in that moment. Reports from cageside described the moment in different ways, and some said even the replay did not make it clear. What is verified: the official result, the time, and that Barcelos needed medical attention and was carried out on a stretcher. Cageside Press reported that Rosas asked for prayers for his opponent afterwards.
What it means for Rosas
It is his sixth straight win, according to UFC.com. That takes him to 7-1 in the UFC and 13-1 as a professional. More important than the numbers: he beat a ranked opponent in a scheduled five-round main event, and he did it after losing ground in the middle rounds. The new rankings had not been published when this report went up, so we won’t guess where he lands.
What it means for Barcelos
His five-fight winning streak ends, and his record moves to 22-6. Anything else about what comes next for Barcelos can wait until there is word on his health.
Biggest winners of the night
Raul Rosas Jr.
The headline result, and the only fighter on this card with a full FightCardboard archive entry. The collector case is below.
Ailin Perez
Perez has now won seven straight, which MMA News reports is the second-longest winning streak in UFC women’s bantamweight history. Both she and Dumont came in ranked in the division’s top 10. It was not a showcase: the UFC’s own write-up called the fight flat and the decision somewhat surprising. Still, seven in a row, with the last three against ranked opponents according to the UFC, puts her in the title conversation she asked for before the fight. For collectors, that makes her a name to research rather than one we can already speak to.
Brady Hiestand
Hiestand submitted Rinya Nakamura in the second round in his first fight since June 2024, after 834 days out with a knee injury. UFC.com has him on a four-fight winning streak. The 27-year-old is a former Ultimate Fighter 29 finalist who now works as a firefighter in Spokane.
Montel Jackson
Jackson stopped Ricky Simon in the second round and avenged the first loss of his pro career, suffered against Simon in his 2018 UFC debut. The 34-year-old came in on a two-fight skid.
Tina Black
Black (Valesca Machado), a former Invicta FC champion, stopped the previously unbeaten Melissa Amaya in the second round to win The Ultimate Fighter 34. The UFC says she is the first Brazilian woman to win the show.
Collector Watch: whose cards helped themselves tonight?
Everything in the “Key cards” and “The rookie” lines below comes from FightCardboard’s own card records, with the research status shown on each record. Where we haven’t researched a fighter, we say so rather than name cards. The “Why collectors care” lines are our reading of collector attention, not a price forecast. We don’t publish prices we haven’t verified, and nothing here says any card will go up.
Raul Rosas Jr.
He won his first UFC main event, over the No. 13-ranked bantamweight, after being pushed hard through the middle rounds.
Why collectors careHis collecting case has always been youth plus trajectory. Tonight added a ranked win at the top of a card. That gives collectors a reason to look again at his earliest cards. It does not settle his long-term case.
Key cards2022 Panini Instant UFC #146, his first card; 2023 Panini Prizm UFC #8; 2023 Donruss UFC #206 Rated Rookie; 2024 Topps Chrome UFC #161 and the #FSA-RRO Future Stars Autograph.
The rookieDisputed. The archive’s working pick is Prizm #8, and the Instant #146 is recorded as the other candidate. Raul Rosas Jr. rookie card guide.
What to watch nextThe next rankings update, and whether his next opponent comes from the top 10.
Ailin Perez
A seventh straight win, over a fellow top-10 women’s bantamweight, in an uneventful fight.
Why collectors careA streak this long in one division tends to bring a title conversation, and a title conversation brings collectors looking for a fighter’s early cards.
Key cardsNot yet researched by FightCardboard. We don’t list cards until they have been checked.
The rookieNot yet researched. She is on the list for a full archive entry.
What to watch nextWhether the UFC books her into a title fight or one more contender bout.
Brady Hiestand
He came back from more than two years out and submitted Rinya Nakamura in the second round.
Why collectors careOnly modestly, for now. A four-fight streak makes him worth tracking; a win over a ranked opponent would change that.
Key cardsNot yet researched by FightCardboard.
The rookieNot yet researched.
What to watch nextWhether his next opponent is ranked.
Tina Black
She won The Ultimate Fighter 34 strawweight tournament with a stoppage, the first Brazilian woman to win the show according to the UFC.
Why collectors careA TUF title is a milestone that card collectors can point to. What it leads to depends on the fights that follow.
Key cardsNot yet researched. We have not checked whether any licensed cards of her exist.
The rookieNot yet researched.

Montel Jackson’s win meant a great deal competitively, but we haven’t researched his cards, so we leave him out of this list rather than guess.

Autographs and numbered parallels
His first Topps Chrome signature is the 2024 Topps Chrome UFC Future Stars Autograph #FSA-RRO. His fighter page also records 2023 Panini Select and Immaculate rookie autographs, which don’t have their own card records yet.
The numbered parallels in the archive are recorded as probable, not verified. They are the Prizm #8 Under Card Red /99 and Under Card Gold /10, the Donruss #206 Holo 30th Anniversary /30, Holo Blue Laser /49, Holo Gold Laser /10 and Holo Black Laser 1/1, and a 1/1 SuperFractor of Chrome #161. The archive has no graded population figures or verified sales for any Rosas card, so this report doesn’t quote any.
Our read: what changed, and what didn't
Analysis, not fact. Before tonight, the case for collecting Rosas was mostly about the future. He signed at 17, won in the UFC at 18 and was ranked at 21. The obvious question was the quality of his opposition, along with a style the UFC’s own preview noted produces low striking numbers.
Tonight answered part of that. He beat a ranked opponent riding a five-fight streak, in a five-round main event, after losing ground in the middle rounds. That is a stronger competitive story than any of his previous wins, and it is the kind of result that sends collectors back to a young fighter’s earliest cards. The Instant #146 and Prizm #8 are the obvious places that attention goes, along with the low-numbered Prizm and Donruss parallels.
What didn’t change: he is still outside the top 10, and his rookie designation is still disputed. And the finish, uncertain as it was and followed by a stretcher, is not a knockout highlight that anyone will want to celebrate. The conversation tonight is rightly about Barcelos’s health.
The milestones that would matter most
- The rankings update. Where he lands decides which opponents make sense next.
- A top-10 opponent. This is the step between “ranked prospect” and “contender”.
- A main or co-main spot on a numbered UFC event. That would put him in front of a far larger audience than a Fight Night at the APEX.
- Further out: a title eliminator, then a title fight. The UFC’s preview described his goal as becoming the youngest champion in UFC history. That is a stated goal, not a booking, and he is several wins from it.
Other fighters to watch
Yazmin Jauregui
Jauregui returned from two years out and stopped Vanessa Demopoulos in 62 seconds. She is 27 and now 5-2 in the UFC. If she stays active, she is worth an archive entry. We haven’t checked her cards yet.
Ilimbek Akylbek
The 23-year-old won The Ultimate Fighter 34 bantamweight tournament, although by disqualification after an illegal knee. It is a real title, but not a performance that settles anything. His first regular UFC fight will say more. His cards haven’t been researched.
Christian Edwards and Luis Hernandez
Both got their first UFC wins. Edwards, 27, stopped Rodolfo Bellato with a left hook in the third round. Hernandez submitted Sedriques Dumas in 50 seconds on two days’ notice. Neither is a collector name yet, but both are worth another look after their next fights.
What's next
Confirmed
As of publication, the UFC had not announced a next fight for any winner on this card. Updated rankings and performance bonuses had not been published either, and there was no official update on Raoni Barcelos. This report will be updated as any of that is confirmed.
Possible
Logical next steps, not announcements. For Rosas, a top-10 bantamweight once the rankings update. For Perez, a title fight or a final contender bout; she said before the event that she wanted a title shot with a win. For Hiestand and Jackson, ranked opponents. For the TUF 34 winners, Tina Black and Ilimbek Akylbek, their first regular UFC assignments.
