Why this card matters
His first certified autograph card, signed for Topps in the year the company got the UFC licence. It is an on-card signature — Topps' early UFC autographs were signed directly on the card stock, not on stickers — and the Red Ink version is the scarce variation collectors actually chase.
Identification
Missing a back scan. Contribute one.
- Card number FA-WS ('Fighter Autographs' prefix); some listings write it without the hyphen as FAWS
- Red Ink is a separate, scarcer signing variation of the same card number
- On-card signature; check that the ink sits on the card surface rather than on an applied sticker window
Disputed
The year is settled at 2009. SportsCardsPro's own page for the card states the product as '2009 Topps UFC Round 2 Autographs' and the year as 2009, and Collectibles.com places it in the same product; Sports Card Investor's index, which files the same number under a 2010 Topps UFC heading, is the outlier. Cardboard Connection's Round 2 summary names the product's on-card autograph set 'The Ultimate Foto' (16 signatures) and does not mention the FA- prefix, which is a gap in that summary rather than a contradiction. The Red Ink variation is reported by Collectibles.com only, and no print run is published for it.

2009 Topps UFC Round 2 #FA-WS — Wanderlei Silva.
Year and product disagree between sources. SportsCardsPro and Collectibles.com both place #FA-WS in 2009 Topps UFC Round 2 Autographs; Sports Card Investor indexes the same number as '2010 Topps UFC #FA-WS Fighter Autographs'. Cardboard Connection's Round 2 summary names the product's on-card autograph set 'The Ultimate Foto' (16 signatures) and does not mention an FA- prefix, so the 2009 attribution is two-source but not airtight. The Red Ink variation is reported by Collectibles.com only; no print run is published by any reachable source.
