Why this card matters
His first solo card in the UFC base-set sense, from the 150-card Round 2 checklist released 30 September 2009. It is the last Edgar base card issued before he took the lightweight title from B.J. Penn at UFC 112 in April 2010, so it shows him as a contender rather than a champion — the reason some collectors prefer it to the 2010 issues. Round 2 is also the set that carries his first certified autograph.

Parallel names disagree. nslists.com gives the Round 2 base parallels as Gold, Silver /188, Bronze /88, Ruby /8 and Diamond 1/1; Cardboard Connection's product page gives Gold, Onyx /188, Ruby /8 and Diamond 1/1 with no Bronze. The /188 tier appears under two different names and the /88 tier is only in one source.
