Why this card matters
His first MMA-specific and first PRIDE-licensed card, issued by Dream Stage Entertainment itself in the year he won the Open Weight Grand Prix. PRIDE folded in 2007 and never licensed another card product, so this set is the entire body of official PRIDE cardboard for the fighter most associated with the promotion — which is why graded copies (SGC 10, PSA 10) are chased hard by PRIDE collectors.

- Number printed as '055' on the card and in eBay catalogue titles; sellers also write it as #55
- Solo base card, distinct from the two-fighter 'Best Bout of GP' subset in the same set
- Japanese-language DSE product; the base run is 142 cards, and 583 counts every variation across the product
| Cro Cop has PRIDE cards from across his 2001–2006 PRIDE run. | Only the 2006 DSE Pride FC Card Collection is a licensed PRIDE product. Earlier PRIDE-era Cro Cop cards are Japanese K-1 issues (Bandai, Epoch), and 'PRIDE' cards dated to other years in listings are usually customs or Topps' later Pride and Glory insert. |

Cardbase gives the 2006 Pride FC product as 142 base cards and 583 across all variations, and names '#55 Mirko Cro Cop' directly. No full published checklist for the DSE product exists outside Cardbase, so individual numbers in the set rest on that page and on marketplace cataloguing.
