Why this card matters
Epoch took the K-1 card licence from Bandai, and this is Filipović's base card in their 2001 Grand Prix set — issued in the same year he took his first MMA fight, the August 2001 TKO of Kazuyuki Fujita at the K-1 Andy Memorial. For collectors who reject the 1997 Bandai issue as a pre-career kickboxing card, this is the realistic 'first proper card'.
