MMA Rookies names 2025 Topps Chrome UFC #56 his 'True Rookie Card', and Checklist Insider prints the line with an RC tag. It is also the earliest of his RC-designated cards by release date: Chrome shipped June 27, 2025, ahead of Chrome Sapphire (July 25), Midnight (August 8), Knockout (October 24), Finest (November 7), Stadium Club (January 23, 2026) and Royalty (February 6, 2026). There is nothing earlier to weigh against it — Checklist Insider's 2024 Topps Chrome, Knockout, Finest and Gold Label UFC checklists contain no Jean Silva, so the 2025 Chrome card is both his rookie and his first card of any kind.

Silva's first licensed card of any kind. Topps skipped him entirely in 2024 despite three wins that year, so nothing exists before this June 27, 2025 release. It is the card MMA Rookies designates his true rookie, and it sits at the head of a deep 2025 refractor rainbow that runs from unnumbered Refractor down to Red /5 and a SuperFractor 1/1.

Commonly misidentified

Two things get mixed up with this fighter. First, the name: Sherdog's fight finder lists at least eight pro fighters called Jean Silva, and he has no relation to Anderson Silva, Wanderlei Silva or Natália Silva — the UFC featherweight is 'Lord', of Kingdom Thai / The Fighting Nerds. Second, the rookie flag: SportsCardsPro's details tables say 'Is Rookie Card: No' for his 2025 Chrome #56, Midnight #18 and Finest #35 even though both checklist sources print RC on those lines, and its Knockout #62 page notes that sellers call that card a rookie while the checklist does not.

Identifying it

  • Base is plain chrome with no refractor rainbow, no colour border and no serial number on the back
