TCDB lists no Topuria cards before 2022, and he isn't on its 2021 Prizm UFC rookie list or the 2021 Panini Instant UFC checklist. Of his RC-flagged 2022 cards, Prizm #115 is from the earliest product (released 25 Mar 2022 per TCDB and Cardboard Connection), ahead of Donruss (6 May), Select (1 Jul), Chronicles (31 Aug) and Optic (21 Dec). Slab-Z calls 2022 Prizm his 'first true rookie'. Donruss #215, Select #23, Chronicles #82 and Optic #110 are RC-flagged rookies too, so picking Prizm #115 as his main rookie rests on release order, not on the others being any less of a rookie.

Commonly misidentified

Prizm #115 isn't his only rookie: Donruss Rated Rookie #215, Select #23, Chronicles #82 and Optic Rated Rookie #110 are also RC-flagged 2022 cards, and some collectors call Donruss #215 'the' rookie. Prizm #115 is the working pick because its product came out first. Some eBay sellers market 2022 Panini Instant #23 (print run 394) as a 'Rookie Card RC SSP', but TCDB gives it no RC flag. Some eBay listings also describe a '2021 Panini Prizm UFC' Topuria RC; he isn't in the 2021 set. Slab-Z's aside about 'early or unofficial rookie cards such as TOPPS NOW' doesn't apply to any Topuria card found here.

At least one eBay listing calls this a '2021 Panini Prizm UFC' Topuria RC. No such card exists: TCDB's 46-card rookie list for 2021 Prizm UFC doesn't include him, and the card is 2022 #115. The parallel print runs come from Cardboard Connection's set-wide list; only Purple /149 (eBay) and Blue Shimmer FOTL /7 (Goldin) were seen on Topuria copies. The 2022 Prizm checklist has no pack-issued Topuria autograph, so signed #115s on the market are signed after release and authenticated by PSA or Beckett.
