Why this card matters
An online-exclusive Topps Now card marking Silva vs Sonnen at UFC 117 going into the UFC Hall of Fame's Fight Wing — the fight in which Sonnen outstruck and outwrestled Anderson Silva for four and a half rounds before losing to a triangle armbar with under two minutes left. Topps Now cards are print-to-order over a short sale window, so the surviving population is whatever collectors bought in those days and nothing more. It is the bookend to #137: his first card is a shared bout card from a loss, and so is this one.
