Why this card matters
The only certified Sakuraba autograph could be documented, from an unlicensed Leaf wrestling product rather than an MMA one. It matters out of proportion to the set because he signs so little for card companies: SportsCardsPro's entire database returns just two Sakuraba products, and both are this card and its variants. It landed the same year the UFC put him in the Pioneer wing of its Hall of Fame — an induction that produced no Topps or Panini card.
