Why this card matters

Topps' own Ripped article calls this 'Nick Diaz's first Topps Appearance'. The Fight Poster Review insert reproduces event posters rather than fighter portraits, and #FPR-TUF2 is the poster for The Ultimate Fighter 2 Finale (5 November 2005), the Diego Sanchez decision loss — so Diaz's first card in a UFC-licensed product shows a fight he lost, and was issued in 2009 while he was fighting for Strikeforce and EliteXC, years before Topps gave him a base card.
