Why this card matters
Topps put Rampage in a baseball product because in 2008 it had no UFC licence — Allen & Ginter has always carried outside-the-lines subjects, and he arrived in it as the reigning-then-recent UFC light heavyweight champion. That makes it a genuine oddity: the accepted rookie card of a UFC champion sits in a baseball set, a year ahead of the first Topps UFC release.
