Why this is the earliest card

Usman Nurmagomedov has no rookie card. Panini used no rookie designations anywhere in Contenders PFL, and with no UFC career there is no Topps or Panini UFC issue to act as one. His earliest card of any kind is the 2024 Panini Instant Bellator #6, a print-to-order online issue sold in a short ordering window, so the first card that came out of packs is 2025 Panini Contenders PFL Season Ticket #11, from the 100-card base set released 18 July 2025. That is a hobby convention rather than a designation any authority has made.

The earliest Usman Nurmagomedov card of any kind, and the only one predating the Panini Contenders PFL era. Panini Instant Bellator was a print-to-order program covering the 2024 Bellator Champions Series: cards were sold through a short ordering window, so the base print run is whatever collectors bought and is not published up front. Numbered colour parallels were offered alongside it.

Identifying it

  • Card #6 in the 2024 Panini Instant Bellator numbering
  • Panini Instant card stock and layout — event-photo front with the moment described rather than a designed base-set frame
  • Panini's own product page slug for the parallel is pi-unurmagomedov-0006-24belinstant-blueviper
  • Parallels are colour-named (Blue Viper, White Tiger /5) rather than the Contenders ticket-tier names

Card milestones

Five separate questions, kept separate. How these are defined.

The evidence behind each
  • 2024Earliest licensed card — Panini's own store carries a product page for the card's Blue Viper parallel under the URL pi-unurmagomedov-0006-24belinstant-blueviper, and an eBay listing titles it '2024 Panini Instant Bellator MMA Usman Nurmagomedov Rookie #6 - Becomes Champion'. Panini's Instant Bellator category page lists neighbouring cards (#3, #8-#12) but did not render the #6 row, so the number rests on Panini's own product URL plus the listing.
  • 2024First MMA card — Same Panini product page and listing. Nothing earlier appears in any checklist source; Bellator carried no trading-card programme during his 2021-2023 title run.
  • —First UFC card — His professional record runs through Bellator and PFL only; no Topps UFC or Panini UFC checklist contains him. Umar and Abubakar Nurmagomedov are the family members with UFC-licensed cards.
  • 2025First certified autograph — Checklist Insider's 2025 Panini Contenders PFL checklist prints 'Base Season Ticket Signatures #11 - Lightweight' for him, matching Checklist Center. No autograph of him is documented in the 2024 Instant Bellator programme.
  • —Recognized rookie card — Checklist Insider and Checklist Center both show that 2025 and 2026 Panini Contenders PFL use no RC markers anywhere in the product, and Panini's Instant Bellator issues carry none either. Because he has never fought in the UFC there is no Topps or Panini UFC issue that could act as one.

Sources & research Probable×2Uncertain×1

Every factual claim on this page, the evidence behind it, and an honest confidence level. Where sources disagree the disagreement is kept, not quietly resolved.

Probable

Usman Nurmagomedov's earliest card: 2024 Panini Instant Bellator #6 — Usman Nurmagomedov.

No Usman Nurmagomedov card carries a rookie designation. Panini used no RC markers anywhere in Contenders PFL — the 2025 and 2026 checklists from Checklist Insider and Checklist Center carry none — and because he has never fought in the UFC there is no Topps UFC or Panini Prizm UFC issue that could act as one. His earliest card of any kind is 2024 Panini Instant Bellator #6, a print-to-order online issue: Panini's own store carries a product page for its Blue Viper parallel under the URL pi-unurmagomedov-0006-24belinstant-blueviper, and an eBay listing titles it '2024 Panini Instant Bellator MMA Usman Nurmagomedov Rookie #6 - Becomes Champion'. The first card of his that came out of packs is 2025 Panini Contenders PFL Season Ticket #11, from the 100-card base set released 18 July 2025. Confidence is probable because Panini's Instant Bellator category page lists neighbouring cards but not the #6 row, so the number rests on Panini's own product URL plus the listing.

Probable

2024 Panini Instant Bellator #6 — Usman Nurmagomedov.

Uncertain

The card number (#6) and the 2024 set year come from Panini's own product page title and URL slug plus an eBay listing title; it was not possible to load the Panini product page body itself (repeated read timeouts) and there is no published Panini Instant Bellator checklist was reachable. The White Tiger /5 tier is confirmed from a different card in the same set (Mike Shipman #11), not from Usman's card specifically. The moment the card commemorates is unconfirmed — the eBay seller's title says 'Becomes Champion', which would be the November 2022 Patricky Pitbull fight, but the set is a 2024 issue, so the description may be the seller's wording rather than Panini's.
