Why this is the rookie

TCDB flags two Miocic cards RC, 2012 Topps UFC Knockout #91 and 2012 Topps UFC Bloodlines #41. Knockout came first: TCDB dates it March 21, 2012 and Cardboard Connection April 6, 2012, while TCDB dates Bloodlines December 7, 2012. The Knockout card is printed with a 'UFC DEBUT' tag (seen on the scan), and Cardboard Connection's checklist confirms #91.

His first licensed card. 2012 Topps UFC Knockout came out in spring 2012 (TCDB: March 21; Cardboard Connection: April 6), about six months after his UFC 136 debut. The front carries a 'UFC DEBUT' tag, and TCDB flags it RC.

Commonly misidentified

TCDB lists a '2010 Topps UFC Knockout Fighter Gear Relic #FG-SM Stipe Miocic' (/188, no image), which predates his UFC debut. It is probably a misfiled 2012 Knockout Fighter Gear Relic (TCDB lists that one /88). SportsCardsPro lists both RC cards as 'Is Rookie Card: No'.
