2018 Topps UFC Museum Collection #30
Dern's first licensed card of any kind, and the only base card of her issued before 2019. It came out 28 November 2018, after she had already won two UFC fights, because Topps had left her off the 100-card 2018 Topps UFC Chrome checklist two months earlier. A 50-card high-end base set means the print run behind it is small compared with a normal flagship rookie.
MMA Rookies calls Museum Collection #30 her true rookie card, but SportsCardsPro's structured 'Is Rookie Card' field for the same card reads No. Collectibles.com states only that she 'debuted as a Rookie in 2018' without naming the card. it was not possible to confirm from a reachable source whether the card front carries a printed RC logo — 2018 Topps UFC Museum Collection is a high-end product and RC branding was inconsistent in that era — so the rookie designation rests on it being the first licensed card rather than on a logo I have verified.
Sellers list the #MA-MD autograph as a 'rookie autograph' and Prizm #76 as a rookie. One eBay listing for the MA-MD autograph has the name misspelled 'Mackenzie Dean', which keeps it out of name searches.

Card history
Dern arrived in the UFC with a grappling résumé most fighters would envy and none of it on cardboard: her 2015 ADCC and no-gi world titles, the Legacy FC run and her single Invicta FC bout against Kaline Medeiros in December 2017 all went by without a licensed card. Topps then left her off the 100-card 2018 Topps UFC Chrome checklist on September 19, 2018, months after she had beaten Ashley Yoder at UFC 222 and won again, so there is nothing at all to collect from before that winter.
Her first card is instead a high-end one: 2018 Topps UFC Museum Collection #30, released November 28, 2018, out of a 50-card base set, with Copper, Gold /75, Sapphire /25, Ruby /8 and Emerald 1/1 above it. MMA Rookies calls it her True Rookie Card and lists no others; SportsCardsPro's own rookie field says it is not one, and no source consulted confirms a printed RC logo on the front, so sources disagree on the designation rather than on the card. The small base set means the print run behind it is far smaller than a flagship rookie's.
The same box produced her first certified autograph, Museum Autographs #MA-MD, hard-signed and numbered to 99 or lower with Gold /25, Ruby /8 and Emerald 1/1 above it — which means every signed Dern card from her first year is serial-numbered. Sellers list it as a 'rookie autograph' because it shares a release date with #30; it is the autograph subset, not the base rookie, and at least one listing has her surname misspelled 'Dean'. 2019 Topps Chrome UFC #16 is her first card in a mainstream, widely opened product and the first most collectors actually pulled, and the Chrome autograph #FA-MD, recorded with a Blue Wave refractor, is her first signature available in an unnumbered base version. Topps' own retrospective also names a 2019 Knockout Fire Autographs #UFCF-MD.
Panini put her in Prizm from the start of its licence — 2021 Panini Prizm UFC #76 from the April 2021 Debut Edition, with Silver, Gold and Black prizms catalogued, and a second Prizm card at #26 in 2022. It is #76 that gets mislabelled a rookie most often, three years after the fact. Her main Panini signature is 2022 Panini Select UFC Signatures #SG-MDR from that July's release, with a Black Prizms version at the top of the Select colour ladder; no print run is published for either the base signature or the Black.
Topps' return went heavy on her autographs. 2024 Topps Gold Label UFC, December 13, 2024, gave her base #55 with a Black Class 1 version numbered /10 and the Ranked Ink Autographs #RIK-MDE at /299 with parallels running from Blue /99 down to 1/1 — the most accessible numbered Dern signature there is. Topps Midnight added Glimmer Graphs Daybreak #GG-MDN /5 and Topps Finest an autograph at #FA-MDN. Then she took the vacant strawweight title from Virna Jandiroba at UFC 321 on October 25, 2025, and the 2026 checklists moved her to the front: Chrome UFC #185 with Aqua, Green and Mini Diamonds refractors, and card #1 of 2026 Topps Stadium Club UFC, with a Base Chrome run at #CB-1 topping out in a SuperFractor and two autograph subsets, #BAV-MDN and Abstract Autographs #AA-MD.

2018 Topps UFC Chrome (19 September, 100 cards) skipped her; Museum Collection on 28 November gave her base #30 and her first certified autograph, #MA-MD /99. MMA Rookies treats #30 as her true rookie and lists no others.
2019 Topps Chrome UFC #16 is her first Chrome base card, and Collectibles.com records a Chrome autograph #FA-MD with a Blue Wave parallel. Topps' own retrospective also names a 2019 Knockout Fire Autographs #UFCF-MD.

Cardboard Connection's checklist for the product confirms #30 as 'Mackenzie Dern - Strawweight' in a 50-card base set released 28 November 2018, and SportsCardsPro carries the same card. It is also her earliest card of any kind: Cardboard Connection's 2018 Topps UFC Chrome checklist (19 September 2018, 100 base cards) does not include her, and no pre-2018 jiu-jitsu, Legacy FC or Invicta FC card of her was found on any reachable source.
