Why this is the rookie
TCDB flags 2010 Topps UFC Knockout #147 as RC, and the card carries Topps' 'UFC DEBUT' tag, visible on the SportsCardsPro scan. It is the only RC-designated Oliveira card in TCDB's list. His other 2010 card, the Leaf MMA Autographs AU-CO1, has no RC designation and no UFC branding.
Oliveira's rookie card, issued in the same year as his August 2010 UFC debut. The 'UFC DEBUT' tag in the top-right corner is the rookie marker. The photo shows him working a triangle, the kind of submission he used to beat Darren Elkins in that debut. Numbered parallels run from Gold /288 down to a 1/1 Octagon Mat.
Silver /188 and Gold /288 parallels get sold as 'the rookie #/188'. SportsCardsPro's catalogue field says 'not a rookie' even though the card is tagged UFC Debut. The Leaf AU-CO1 gets called a 'rookie auto'.
