Why this card matters

The card the hobby treats as Cejudo's rookie. He debuted in the UFC on 13 December 2014 and missed every 2014 and early-2015 Topps release, so his first UFC-licensed card is base #169 in a 200-card Champions set that shipped on 28 October 2015. The same product also gave him a Fighting's Future prospect insert, which is why 2015 reads as his rookie year rather than 2016.

Often confused with
Cejudo has a 2014 Topps UFC rookie card because he debuted in December 2014.He is absent from both 2014 Topps UFC Knockout and 2015 Topps UFC Knockout (April 2015), and from the 275-card 2015 Topps UFC Chronicles base set. Champions #169 in October 2015 is his first.

Disputed

Sources disagree

SportsCardsPro's structured 'Rookie' field for this card says 'No'. Topps UFC releases of this period carried no RC logo, so there is no printed rookie designation to point at; the rookie claim rests on it being his first UFC-licensed card and on Collectibles.com dating his rookie year to 2015.
