Why this card matters
His first solo UFC base card, thirteen years after the UFC 12 tournament. It arrives in the set that also gives him his first autograph and first relic, and it has the one true short print in his base-card history: a 'The Phenom' nickname variation reported at 250 copies. For most collectors this, not the Japanese DSE card, is where a Belfort collection visibly begins.
Identification

- Number 34 in the 200-card base set; catalogued by SportsCardsPro as '2010 Topps UFC' and by Allender's checklist as 'UFC Round 4'.
- The nickname variation replaces the surname line with 'The Phenom' — check the nameplate before assuming a common base card.
- Do not confuse with a 2010 Topps UFC Knockout card also listed at #34 in some catalogue titles.
Disputed
The base parallel structure is reported two different ways: Allender's checklist gives Gold / Onyx /88 / Ruby /8 / Diamond 1/1, while Cardboard Connection's Series 4 review (as recorded in the FightCardboard set data) gives Gold / Silver /188 / Bronze /88 / Ruby /8 / Diamond 1/1. The Ruby /8 and Diamond 1/1 tiers agree; the middle tiers do not, so the Onyx /88 entry is marked uncertain.
